The autumn Flu and Covid vaccine is now available for those patients who are eligible to receive it.  Book now with a receptionist

NEW COMPUTERISED SYSTEM

From the end of October 2023 we will be moving to a new computerised system.  Your process may take a little longer at the beginning.  We're sorry for any delays as we start using our new system and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

GP APPOINTMENTS

TO HELP REDUCE THE POTENTIAL SPREAD OF INFECTION, WE ARE OPERATING A TELEPHONE TRIAGE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM. IF YOU REQUIRE MEDICAL ADVICE WE ARE ADVISING  PATIENTS TO PHONE AT 8.30AM.  You will be put through to one of our receptionists.  Please give a brief summary of the reason why you are contacting the surgery.  We will then decide on the most appropriate person and best method to contact you.

IF YOU NEED A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION, PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE ON OUR SCRIPT LINE ALONG WITH THE NAME OF THE CHEMIST YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR PRESCRIPTION TO BE SENT TO.  PLEASE ALLOW 48 HOURS FOR REPEAT SCRIPTS.

When We Are Closed

This practice is part of Northern Area’s Dalriada Urgent Care scheme, as are all the practices in the Cookstown/Magherafelt area.

It covers the hours outside 08:30 to 18:00 on weekdays and Bank Holidays.

In the case of an emergency that cannot wait until your own doctor is available, contact Dalriada Urgent Care directly on 02825663502.

If you call Loy Medical Centre Centre you will hear a recorded message advising

You to phone Dalriada Urgent Care directly on 02825663502.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
