Please do not book a GP appointment or attend your GP Practice if you’ve visited or travelled through mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, or Thailand and have symptoms of cough, fever or shortness of breath within 2 weeks of returning, or if you have symptoms of cough, fever or shortness of breath after being in contact with someone with a confirmed case of coronavirus. 

In Northern Ireland, please stay indoors and call the coronavirus 24/7 helpline on 0300 200 7885, even if symptoms are mild.

Nursing Services

The nurses are involved in health promotion and the monitoring of chronic illnesses such as:

  • Asthma
  • Diabetes
  • COPD
  • Coronary Heart Disease
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure and strokes)

They also organize:

  • Influenza vaccinations
  • Paediatric immunizations
  • Cholesterol monitoring and dietary advice
  • Travel vaccinations
  • Smoking cessation support

Treatment Room

The treatment room is open by appointment Monday to Friday 9am – 1pm and 2pm -5.30pm

The nurses offer a wide range of services including doing blood tests, giving vaccinations and other injections, removing sutures, performing ECGs, blood pressure checks, dressing wounds, giving health advice, treating minor injuries as well as assisting the doctors with minor surgical procedures.

  • Ante-natal and post natal care - the community midwife is in attendance every Wednesday 2-4 pm
  • Advice on contraception (No IUCD fittings)
  • Cervical Smear Tests - appointment only with Nurse Steenson
